I'm on secondment in Portsmouth this week so for a change of scenery decided to sail at Hayling Sunday pm. Had a cracking solid waveboard-windy 4.5-powered 3 hours, spoiled only by the complete lack of any wave/ramp to jump/ride, and also by the wind which was a bit holey. But for most of the session I was well powered and enjoying some great warm sunny summer blasting - felt like being abroad. Conditions like this on a weekend are few and far between so very much appreciated, even if the sailing wasn't all that exciting. As would be expected on a windy summer Sunday, Hayling was very busy - there must have been well in excess of 100 wind/kitesurfers out. But not at all crowded since there is so much space. Much less so than Shoreham.
